Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG you don't expect to find on a phone. You build a party of four, learn a proper skill tree, and travel a hand-drawn world that hides plenty of side stories. The writing has actual personality, which is rare in the genre on mobile.
Combat is turn-based but snappy, with positioning that matters more than raw numbers. We spent a couple of evenings just experimenting with team combos, and the game kept rewarding the effort. Nothing feels grindy for the sake of padding.
The touch menus are clean and the auto-save is generous, so it works well in short bursts too. If you want something with weight to sink into on a long commute, start here.
